Rules & Details:

• Follow our Instagram page: @reverbtapcompany

• One submission per dancer 

• Challenge is open to USA and International dancers

• Solo must be performed between September, 2019 - April, 2020 and must be a tap dance solo

• Dancers must be between ages 9 to 18 years old

• Solos must not exceed 5 minutes in length

• Competition, rehearsal, showcase, and at-home filmed videos are all acceptable. Submit your best! 

• Solos may be danced a capella, to music, or a combination of both

• Deadline to submit is Friday, April 24th, 2020 at midnight PST 

• Winners will be announced by May 9th via email and/or on our social media pages

• There is NO cost to enter this challenge

Prizes:

There will be three selected winners, a first, second and third place. Each winner will receive adjudication by our Artistic Director, Leah Silva virtually via Zoom. 

​

1st Place: One full scholarship ($550.00 USD value) to the 2021 Beachfront Orange County Tap Festival.

​

2nd Place:  $150.00 (USD) towards any 2021 Tap Dance Intensive or Tap Dance Festival of your choice AND a one hour private lesson with our Artistic Director, Leah Silva virtually, via Zoom. 

​

3rd Place: $125.00 (USD) towards any 2021 Tap Dance Intensive or Tap Dance Festival of your choice AND a thirty minute private lesson with our Artistic Director, Leah Silva virtually, via Zoom.

*If needed, we are happy to recommend tap dance intensives and festivals for the cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Adjudication Details:

All solos will be reviewed by our Artistic Director, Leah Silva. The first 10 submissions will receive adjudication from our Artistic Director, Leah Silva via email. The three selected winners will receive live adjudication from Leah Silva, virtually via Zoom. There will be no age or level divisions when selecting winners. Solos will be judged on technique displayed, execution of choreography, and performance quality- all pertinent to the stated level of the dancer.

Terms and Conditions:

Prizes do not include any travel, hotel/housing, or meal expenses. The full scholarship to the 2021 Orange County Tap Festival may not be redeemed after 2021 and may not be gifted. The awarded funds towards any Tap Dance Intensive or Tap Dance Festival may not be redeemed after 2021 and may not be gifted. The Zoom private lessons with Leah Silva will expire on May 31st, 2020. No prizes may be gifted or exchanged for cash value. Current Reverb Artists and solos set by Leah Silva will not be eligible for this challenge. Dancers 18 years of age and parents of dancers under the age of 18 years old acknowledge and allow Reverb Tap Company and/or Leah Silva to post media (photographs and/or video) of the dancers that pertain to this challenge. Dancers 18 years of age and parents of dancers under the age of 18 years old agree to be contacted via email.
